New Academic Year, New Goals

So on some of the social media platforms I’ve made a small list of goals, and why they’re the goals for that academic year and I don’t want to break that tradition so, here’s my goals for the 2018/19 academic year!

  1. Keep my uni notes organised.  – No more multiple notebooks, no 1001 folders on my computer. Just my binder, OneNote and Google Drive (for sharing things). I’m using OneNote for my Rocketbook Everlast scans of class notes but I also bring my laptop since I find it easier to type but enjoy being able to doodle and write by hand at the same time.  Google Drive is so I can back up my essays and research and my binder is for any hand outs, anything I’m printing (like essays for the proof reading stage).

  2. Keep this blog up and running – Pretty self explanatory. It wouldn’t be my journey through my Masters if I stopped after a month of being in the course.

  3. Save up! – I’m not planning on staying in the place I am forever, I don’t know where I’ll be next year after my course ends but I know that.  Saving up now is going to benefit me so much in the future and this is the perfect year to keep doing that.

  4. Sort out my clothes – I am tiny. Like, the clothes I had when I started secondary school that were oversized still mostly fit me, type of tiny. I’ve held onto some clothes that are now practically falling apart for far too long. This year my goal is to get clothes that fit me, that suit me, and that I like. I’m getting rid of things that are unwearable, that I just don’t bother wearing and things I don’t like.

  5. Focus myself on my work – Not leaving it until the last minute (although I haven’t really done that since Sixth Form). But doing all the reading before class, getting some prep work time in

  6. Remember to have fun – I tend to get very work focused. So, this goal is a reminder for me to take breaks; go see friends, do some sewing, have a movie night… whatever takes my fancy. Just take some time off and relax.
