Just a short, quick post today! But, I thought I'd talk about what I have in my bag and why. So we're starting off with the basics, things I definitely needed for university and then the "extras", things I could have done without but it's good to have just in case.
Basics
- Reusable water bottle
- Meds
- Notebook
- Pen(s)
- Portable charger & cable
- Wallet
- Keys
- Laptop & charger
So for these, I wanted to be able to take meds but couldn't guarantee I'd have time to go and get a drink so water bottle and meds were a top priority for me. Then notebook, pens and laptop & charger were all for note taking in class. Some lessons just worked better with a pen and paper for me so I kept both.
Then the wallet, keys, portable charger & charging cable were all the other necessities - I always made sure I had these so I never got stuck.
Extras
- Snacks
- Jumper
- Plasters
- Tissues
These are the extras I'd have - snacks always made me feel better. I knew I'd be saving money and I also had them for if I was feeling a bit peckish between classes. I didn't have to detour or risk being late to go grab something since I already had it with me.
Jumper because I went to university in the North East and didn't trust the weather to not turn and be cold. Plus lectures in the early morning or evening meant I wanted to be comfortable.
Plasters and tissues - you will get caught out by something. Whether that's your new shoes, or a sharp bit of metal that shouldn't be there on the desk. These are great to have. Also, carrying these around means you've got them on hand should anyone else need something.
