Hey! Tara here and thanks for checking out my blog. I update every Tuesday with posts about university life, studying tips and advice and talk about productivity and organisation too. If you want to keep up to date with my latest blog posts I’d love it if you subscribed to this blog.
So I’ve found a few good apps for Bullet Journaling and To-Do lists lately that I thought I’d share a bit of a spotlight on, talk about the features, what I liked and didn’t like and so on. This week’s post is about Elisi, one of the first digital BuJo apps that I tried out. You can find the app here on the play store.
The good
Elisi is easy to use, for a start. The only thing when you first use the app is that all of the features aren’t available to you until you do certain things, eg. make three tasks to unlock lists, add something to a list to unlock habits. Which is fine, I did all of these things to check out the app faster and then deleted the pointless tasks.
The habit tracking is a really handy feature and there’s the option to have these habits show in the weekly planner section which I’ve found really useful. I’m using this alongside my current physical BuJo at the moment and I wish I could do something like this in that.
It has google calendar integration as well which is more than helpful for an app like this. I use Google Calendar for everything from birthdays and work shifts to planning out travel times in easy to see chunks so to have something that works with that is great for me.

The downsides
It’s slow to load and there’s no widgets meaning that you’ve got to open up the app every time you want to check off a task as being completed. These things have put me off using it since I want something I can quickly and easily use.
It’s less of a bujo app and more of a to-do list app. At least that’s how it feels to me. The tasks don’t migrate if they’re not complete and with how little I’m wanting to use the app I’m finding a lot of unchecked boxes.
The design is really simple which can feel quite boring too. There’s one main colour and I haven’t seen any options to change that, or have a dark mode.
I can’t find a way to add a time to an event which makes the planning kind of pointless since I need to check with another app or my physical bujo to see that.

Overall Judgements
It’s a functional to-do app with an easy to use design and some really great features, but when it comes to being a BuJo I feel like it’s lacking. There’s too much that I’m doing with my physical BuJo that are simple and common things that I can’t do here so I wouldn’t use this as my main planning app.
But, try it out! See what you think and leave me a comment below if you have any thoughts on this app or any others like it.
