Obsidian Mobile is Here!

I do have a post scheduled for tomorrow as usual, but (if you can guess by the title of this blog post) there was some exciting news so thought I would update twice in one week! This is just a very quick update!

Obsidian Mobile is released for the public!

Today, Monday 12th at 8:10am BST, the announcement was made to the Discord server that Obsidian Mobile now officially released for everyone. You can get the app here and I would highly recommend you do! Even if it's just to try it out.

The app is brilliant, a portable version of the desktop app that I've been recommending so much over the last few weeks. See my posts linked at the end for more information on the app!

It already has 163 total reviews, with the majority being 5 stars, on the Play Store.

Example literature note taken with Obsidian

Previously used the closed beta

I was happy to pay to try out the app & support the developers since I was using the app every day for all of my notes and for my day planning. This was made incredibly easy with the plugins available for both desktop and mobile. However, I found a couple of ways I use it differently to the desktop version:

  • Better for to-do lists and day planning in my opinion

  • Less likely to format notes and focus on quick ideas (example of what a quick note looks like below)

Recommending the Reddit, forum, and Discord

  • Discord and forum are accessible through here

  • Highly recommend these places - ask for help, see other people's systems and learn!

  • Reddit is also a great place to learn from. I saw someone posting about a recipe vault and it got me thinking about how I could make and manage one myself.

  • Check out Twitter, there's some great ideas going around there too!

Hey! Tara here and thanks for checking out my blog. I update every Tuesday with posts about studying tips, advice and talk about productivity and organisation too. If you want to keep up to date with my latest blog posts I’d love it if you subscribed to this blog.
